Travel Opportunities
FWoB members develop their leadership by running school-wide initiatives which add a lot of value to our community. Additionally, members receive development within each of the 4 domains of the club.
FWoB members have a Camping Retreat between 7th and 8th grade (this camping trip is usually the last weekend in July). Additionally, FWoB members have the opportunity to travel abroad as part of an international service trip in June between their 8th and 9th grade years. Previous trips include:

Commonly Asked Questions regarding FWoB
Can I join the club and NOT travel (camping trip or international travel)?
Absolutely! The club is designed to prepare students to grow as culturally minded, serviced oriented citizens. You can still experience a ton of growth and development as a non-traveling member! We have many members who are not traveling abroad.
What qualifications/expectations do I need to meet in order to be part of FWoB?
As a member of FWoB, you'll be an ambassador of our club, our school, our city, our state and country. It's really important that you are a student who lives the core values at a high level! You'll be placed on probation in the club if you receive more than 10 refocuses in a given trimester or are at academic risk of retention. In the club, you will have an advisor that will check in with you frequently to ensure you are in good standing!
I want to travel, but I'm concerned about the money to travel abroad. Should I still pursue being a traveling member of FWoB?
Yes! We strive to make opportunities for all members of our community to partake in this opportunity. If you qualify, you'll have additional opportunities to fundraise for the trip, outside of club happenings and you'll have about a year and half to save for the trip. If you are interested, don't let money be the one factor that stands in your way of applying/participating!
When should I apply?
Information for 7th graders will be rolled out in the fall. Look for information posted on the bulletin board in the MS commons!
Who should I reach out to with my questions?
FWoB will be hosting a student informational session (Friday, September 8th) and a parent informational session (Friday, September 15th). . Please plan to attend and if you have additional questions, you can reach out to myself or Ms. Lacey ([email protected]) for more information.
